Fishing on the Zambezi River Fishing on the Zambezi River, contact us for more information, and visit our fishing gallery. Fishing Gallery
Masau camp sits on the banks of the Zambezi River consisting of four thatched chalets sitting under the shade of big Acacia Albida trees. All rooms have en-suite ablutions with hot and cold running water. A big dining and bar area next to a pool overlooking the river makes for a nice evening sundowner spot. Fishing on the Zambezi is best from the beginning of August through to the end of November. The later in the season the better as the fish react positively to warmer waters. The main target species is of course the Tiger Fish. These strong fighters give a great fight and some good aerial display. Bream/ Tilapia are also fun to catch and provide great table fare. Other species that can be caught are the Vundu; Chessa; Inkupe; Cornish Jack and Bottlenose. Whilst drifting the river fishing for Tiger Fish a good number of game can also be viewed from elephants through to bushbuck and baboons. Visit our Gallery
